Does Business Club work? I am happy to say that YES IT DOES!! I was asked to organise a networking party at Barn Therapy Centre and was given a rather tight time scale of three weeks. This really focused the mind – not only as it actually allowed me 12 working days to arrange marquees, catering and everything else, but I also had an operation scheduled and an inpatient spell in hospital right in the middle of the three week period. Great timing! So, what to do...Linda Thursby and I had a chat and instantly thought of who would be able to help us out. We contacted Marie Coles of Business Connections to help with the marketing. Now we were on a roll. Over the next few days, I got down to work and organised all the ‘fixtures and fittings’ whilst Marie rang, e-mailed, texted everyone she knew who may either exhibit, present or attend – or all three. In the meantime, we decided that we would support Help for Heroes, and I contacted this amazing charity who were more than happy to furnish us with banners and collecting boxes. With all this fantastic work happening, we felt it was important to have a permanent record of the event, so onto the next Business Club member, Ian West Photography, who very generously agreed to give his time to the charity and take photographs of the event. So, who needs 6 months to organise an event? Not me. David Bridge of Mayfair Coaching Practice is pleased to introduce Bob Brotchie to the local business community. Bob has a wealth of business and people skills, as well as being a qualified Paramedic, currently working in the NHS. David met Bob at the Business Club Cambridge, where Bob had taken the initiative of Networking in search of new opportunities. As a result, Bob has signed as a Client of Mayfair, and is now working through the comprehensive Mayfair preparation for Career Advancement, and we will all being seeing more of him in local networking as he gathers information about market sectors, and works towards connecting with the lucky business who will benefit from his Talent and Experience in the future.

I approached Tommy Winn of Music and Events to see if he'd be happy to collaborate on one of our video projects. From the very first conversation I had with him (even though the project hadn't been confirmed) he gave me no less than his full attention and provided me with original material for the pitch, material I wasn't even expecting. He turned this all round in a very short time and without any firm guarantee of work. The quality of his 'draft' material was beyond expectations, and in all honesty, was a huge factor in us winning the project. Working with Tommy has been very easy, very satisfying and most of all, fun. A terrific guy, and an awesome composer. He's brilliant and what he does and will never let any one down"
