Melton Printers is a sheet fed litho printers based in Lincoln. The company was purchased by David Stroud in 1985. David kept the name of Melton Printers as it was an old established business believed to have been started in Lincoln around 1826.
David initially served a traditional apprenticeship in the printing trade, worked in various printers in London, before returning to the London College of Printing to study for a three-year diploma in printing related Business Studies. Later he added a further diploma in Accounting and Finance.
David then worked in various management positions in the printing industry for different types of general printers as well as newspapers, and during this time worked for 6 years as a consultant to the industry. The result is 40 plus years of experience in all aspects of printing from the shop floor to Managing Director.
Melton Printers covers all aspects of printing from business cards to magazines and delivers the same high levels of quality and service whatever the job. All work is carried out on site at the company's factory in Bracebridge Heath with specialist requirements outsourced to approved suppliers.
David is supported by a team of 10 qualified staff who all know and understand the importance of customer care based around the philosophy of small enough to care, large enough to cope.
